We are a Greek family business that draws its inspiration and knowledge from the ancient traditions of our land. Our history, the quality ingredients we use and our experience that goes back several generations are the foundation on which we create what is possibly the best traditional pasta in Greece. At the same time, we constantly innovate and create products that live up to the demands of a modern way of life.
"Following my experience in flour production — since I was also working at the family mill together with my father and grandfather — and also the passion I have for pasta since a very young age, I decided with other family members in 1996 to found ILIS.
Our company's main philosophy and primary concern is to focus on product quality and customer satisfaction. We want our customer to be always proud of their choice.
As a company, we encourage initiative, creativity, extroversion and innovation; at the same time, we passionately strive to excel in everything we do. A WATERMILL DATING BACK TO THE OTTOMAN ERA PASSES TO OUR FAMILY.
THE WATERMILL IS UPGRADED TO A STONE MILL BY OUR GREAT GRANDFATHER, THEODOROS GIANNARAS.
OUR GRANDFATHER IOANNIS T. GIANNARAS UPGRADES THE STONE MILL INTO A CYLINDER MILL. FURTHER ENHANCEMENTS FOLLOW THE NEXT YEARS.
ILIS IS FOUNDED BY THE FAMILY OF THEODOROS I. GIANNARAS IN THE AREA OF ANCIENT ELIS, WHERE IT GETS ITS NAME FROM. DAILY PRODUCTION CAPACITY IS 200 KG.
THE COMPANY MOVES TO ZACHARO AND THE PRODUCTION LINE IS UPGRADED WITH NEW EQUIPMENT.
THE COMPANY MOVES AGAIN, THIS TIME TO A SELF-OWNED, VERTICAL PRODUCTION UNIT OF 1000 m2. DAILY PRODUCTION CAPACITY NOW REACHES 2000 KG.
NEW INVESTMENTS IN INFRASTRUCTURE.
THE FAMILY'S YOUNGEST GENERATION NOW PARTICIPATES IN THE COMPANY.
ILIS SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTS ITS FIRST EXPORT TO THE UNITED KINGDOM.
